- Osrena LaRosa
Osrena La Rosa Our much beloved Rena LaRosa entered into rest on June 7, 2007 at age 85 in San Jose, California in the arms of her beloved husband John LaRosa. Rena was born in Collinsville, Oklahoma on December 6, 1921 to Moses Hubbard and Jennie Cooper. Loving and devoted wife of 55 years to husband John. Rena is survived by husband John, sister Helen and an extended family of many nieces and nephews. Rena spent her early years in Oklahoma until she moved to San Francisco, California in 1950 where she met and married John on October 18, 1952. In 1959 Rena and John moved to San Jose, California and both became dedicated employees of Lockheed Missiles & Space Company in Sunnyvale. Although she did not have children of her own, Rena adored children who, in return, were instinctively drawn to her. She was a nurturing and kind person with an incredible energy of life that touched our hearts and souls, even to the little squirrels and birds she hand-fed at her door step. We will never forget her and she will live on through all who loved her. Memorial services have been held in the Neptune Society Chapel. San Jose Mercury News (CA) - June 17, 2007.
