A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 7, 1999, in Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes for Harry T. Burke, who died May 3 at age 90.
Mr. Burke was born May 2, 1909, in Portland. From 1926 to 1932, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a warehouse manager for United Grocers for 23 years, retiring in 1971. In 1943, he married Dorothea Matthes.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Suzanne Whelan of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to the Oregon State Sheriffs Association.Arrangements are by Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes.
