      Life Legacy

      Rena Mae Harrell Rosser, 105, of Panama City passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Rosser was born October 16, 1904 in Mitchell County, GA to the late John Bassett and Mary Stephens Harrell. She was from Montgomery, AL and moved to Panama City in 1974 and was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. She was a honored member of the Anna Jackson Chapter 224 in Tallahassee, FL of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Rosser was a literal daughter of a confederate veteran. Her father proudly served in the confederate army during the Civil War. Mrs. Rosser was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Rosser and her son, Charles A. Rosser. She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Carrigan and Lela Leissner; two grandchildren, Mark Rosser and Paula Fryou; three great grandchildren, Kathryn Rosser, Kelli Rosser, and Lane Fryou; dear friends, Clyde and Marsha Ellison and Frances Gilbert. Funeral services will be held today, 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Panama City with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday at 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, AL. The family requests in lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Rena Rosser to the First Baptist Church of Panama City's Building Fund. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to their grandmother's special caregivers for the last 7 weeks of her life: Tracy Brumfield, Charlotte Barnes, Alicia Berry, and Barbara Still.
