      BATESBURG-LEESVILLE- Carnelle W. Eubanks age 90, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 5th after a prolonged and courageous battle with Parkinson's. Carnelle was born in Columbia, South Carolina on July 26th, 1927 the daughter of William L. Waltz and Minnie Kleckly Waltz. Carnelle had an unwavering faith in God and was a lifelong member of the Leesville United Methodist Church and the Batesburg-Leesville Community. She was a consummate mother and homemaker; Carnelle also retired from Union Switch and later worked at Shealy's Bar-B-Que. Surviving her is her brother William “Dub” D. Waltz and wife Joann of Jackson, Mississippi, two children; a son Theodore “Ted” C. Fox III and wife Cathy, of Aiken, South Carolina and a daughter Nancy Lynn Tharp, of Leesville, South Carolina; her beloved grandchildren John, Joshua, Joseph and Jacob Fox, Tara Hollis, Zane and Madison Tharp; sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; two stepsons, Robert "Bob” Eubanks of Colorado, William “Bill” Eubanks of Ohio and a stepdaughter, Sharon Schoneberger of California; two step grandchildren, Cameron and Cayce Eubanks, and one step great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Quinby S. Eubanks, Jr., a son Kenneth “Ken” D. Fox and a great grandson Morgan W. Tharp.

      Visitation will be from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday, December 9th at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. Graveside service will follow at Ridge Crest Memorial Park at 3:00 pm. Those who so desire may make memorial donations to the Leesville United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
