- OPAL “MILLER” MOTE, a resident of Oroville, California was born November 12, 1919 in Metalton, Arkansas a daughter of Jesse Carl and Ida mae (Hudspeth) Miller. She departed this life Sunday, March 3, 2002 in Oroville, California at the age of 82.
Mrs. Mote was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Burton Mote of the home; one son, Burl Hammons of Oroville, CA; one daughter, Revel Peters of Oroville, CA; two sisters, Naomi Jones of Dallas, TX and Frankie Doss of Elkins, AR; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 8, 2002 at the Gobbler Church with Rev. Dean Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Gobbler Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
