    • Kenneth Ward Halpain
      Kenneth Ward Halpain was born on February 25th, 1924 in Hulbert, OK., the son of Philip and Vina (Morgan) Halpain. After graduating High School Kenneth worked on the farm and on February 25th, 1944 his twentieth birthday, Kenneth married the love of his life, Lucy Parris. In March of 1945 Kenneth joined the U.S. Army. He began his career as an iron worker in 1948 working on the Fort Gibson dam. After being an iron worker for 20 years Kenneth became the business agent for local "584" and continued in this capacity until his retirement in 1982. Kenneth was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Wagoner, OK. Kenneth died on June 2, 2011 in Muskogee, OK., he was 87 years old. Kenneth will be greatly missed by all the people he has touched. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, son Gary Halpain, three brothers Virgil, Jesse, and Howard Halpain, and a sister Hazel Garroutte. Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife of 67 years Lucy Halpain, son Kenneth and his wife Terri of Broken Arrow, OK. His daughter Linda Jamison and her husband Dean of Tulsa, OK., a brother Philip Halpain and his wife Virginia of Hulbert, OK., two sisters Edna Baily of Hulbert, OK., and Hattie Hunton of Pryor, OK., 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews family and friends.

      Hulbert, OK-Kenneth Halpain, 87, ironworker, died Thursday in Muskogee. Service 10 a.m. Monday, Reed-Culver Funeral Home Chapel, Tahlequah.
