DELAND - Walter M. “Macky” Hord, 72, of Village Green Drive, died June 12, 2008, at his home.
Mr. Hord retired this year as a florist and fern broker, and was recognized as a top salesman in the industry. Born in Slaton, Texas, he grew up in Brownfield, Texas, and Lubbock, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; two sons, Stan of Nashville, Tenn., and Steve of Pierson; one brother, Tommy and his wife, Charlene, of Brownfield; one aunt, Gloria Forbus; and many nieces and nephews.
Allen-Summerhill was in charge.
